What is Nanoemulsion and how does it improve the efficacy of nootropics?

Nanoemulsion can increase the bioavailability of nootropics, improve the effect of cognitive enhancers on different IQ parameters and reduce side effects.

Mycrodose brand products utilize this new technology in science to increase the potency and efficacy of our supplements. Truly maximizing the potency in a microsized dose.

So what exactly is nanoemulsion?
Nanoemulsion is a mixture of compounds that consists of nano-sized molecules (including PEG) dispersed in pure water or another liquid. Nanoemulsion contains compounds in a liquid phase stabilized by both hydrophilic and lipophilic compounds.

So what does this mean?
It means these compounds reach the blood stream more quickly, increasing the rate at which they are absorbed, to increase bioavailbility. AKA: Your body uses more of the active compounds.

Nanoemulsion advances our nootropic formulas first, by improving absorption. Second because it increases the surface area available for interaction with other molecules through emulsification, and finally because it can increase the solubility of a co-ingested supplement.

For example, Piracetam, which is one of the most popular nootropics, has a bioavailability of anywhere between 5% and 20% - depending on whether you take it with food or on an empty stomach. This has a lot to do with how much of your stomach acid needs to get broken down before the molecule reaches its destination. Additionally, it has been shown that piracetam is poorly absorbed by the Gut-Brain Barrier (GBB).

Nanoemulsion improves bioavailability of Piracetam by increasing its solubility in water (bioavailability and solubility are inversely related, meaning that the more soluble your nootropic, the lower its bioavailability), but also by improving permeability through the GBB, thus speeding up how fast piracetam reaches the brain - and therefore it's effect.

In Lion's Mane Extract and Mushrooms nanoemulsion has been shown to improve the absorption of the active compounds in lion's manes (namely Hericenone and Erinacine A) - which should result in an increase in potency.

Calcium-Phosphate is a compound naturally found within Lion's Mane Mushrooms that has been shown to act synergistically with Hericenone and Erinacine A. Nanoemulsion not only enhances the bioavailability potential of Calcium-Phosphate, but it also enhances its permeability across the BBB.

This means that Nootropics that work well together get a synergistic effect when they are taken together in nanoemulsion.

The benefits of Nanoemulsion are numerous, including:
1.) It can significantly increase nutrient bioavailability by up to 30% in some cases. This means that you need less of the nutrient for it to be effective, which also means your pocketbook will thank you for it!
2.) Increased absorption into cells which leads to more efficient energy production.
3. ) Helps increase the bioavailability of some ingredients that can be very difficult to take in a sustainable manner.
4.) Improves the transport of compounds and nutrients across cellular membranes.
5.) May help attenuate absorption and uptake of other nutrients that require transporters (is there a nutrient that requires transporters? If so, name it) as this form of emulsification helps to keep them from binding and crossing the cell membrane.
7.) Improves stability of whole supplements in a liquid form like capsules, tablets, pulps or powders.
8. ) May help increase absorption and reduce uptake of non-beneficial substances. This might be useful for helping reduce mercury, aluminum, and other toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis.
9.)A nanoemulsion system may also allow for sustained release of nutrients and supplements from the stomach down through the GI tract. This could be very beneficial for fatty acids or amino acids that we would like to have available continuously.
10.)Can help increase bioavailability of plant extracts which are water soluble but hard to stabilize in their native forms
